Objective of the Role:
This role reports to the Marketing Manager. Its purpose is to generate high quality sales leads for account directors, primarily through outbound telephone calls..

KnowledgePool is a provider of managed learning services. Essential to this role is the ability to articulate the business benefits of a service to senior decision makers in large organisations.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Making the agreed number of outbound sales calls to identify new business opportunities in line with KnowledgePool's sales and marketing strategy.
  • Liaising with Account Directors to arrange an agreed number of meetings with prospects and pass across new opportunities.
  • Detailed understanding and effective presentation of the KnowledgePool service offerings.
  • Accurate activity recording and reporting, as agreed with the Marketing Manager.
  • Support the Marketing Manager and others, in maintaining accurate details of key contacts for prospect organisations.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager in the set-up of new lead generation campaigns.
  • Provide feedback from calls and meetings to inform future improvements to KnowledgePool's sales approach, marketing collateral and offerings.

Skills, Experience, Attributes and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, an ability to communicate well with a variety of professionals, up to director level
  • Clear telephone manner - good diction and clarity of speech
  • Ability to recognise and interpret business needs, to enable the selling of a strategic service to senior decision-makers
  • Confident to deal with 'cold calling'
  • Solid Microsoft Office experience in Outlook, Word and Excel

Desirable Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the UK training market
  • Experience of the outsourcing business
  • Experience of using customer relationship or lead management systems, in particular salesforce.com
